Join us to witness Governor Walz sign into law Licenses for All!

Tomorrow, thousands of Latinos and other immigrant communities across Minnesota’s lives will be changed as a result of Governor Walz signing into law the Driver’s Licenses for All bill.

After launching our 45-Day Campaign with the goal of passing the Driver’s Licenses for All bill within the first 45 days of the legislative session, COPAL worked arduously to unite and mobilize community members with the support of various community leaders and legislators.

This is a historic moment for our community. Within 45 days of the legislative session, both chambers have cast a majority vote to restore the right to drive revoked in 2003 and Governor Tim Walz will sign into law the bill, ending a pending 20-year debt that began under former Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty.

Together, we have succeeded in transforming a system to better honor our human dignity. Together, we have made history.

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7 at 10am via livestream to witness the day we have waited for 20 years, the signing of the Driver’s Licenses for All bill.
