Andres Cid
Andres Cid Duran was born in Santiago, Chile. He moved to Minnesota and has worked as a Spanish and English communications professional, specializing in creating multimedia content. He has experience in professional video scripting, production, filming and editing. Currently Andres is working as a video and content marketer focused on connecting communities via social media. He is also a director/editor of a documentary project called Seeking the Andean Cat. The documentary has been awarded in the Adventure Film Festival (Chile) and the Santiago Wild Film Festival. Through the documentary, Andres was able to volunteer for the Andean Cat Alliance Conflict Mitigation Program and work with conservation experts. Andres has also created video and storytelling classes for elementary school students in the Twin Cities, leveraging culturally-relevant content. He has produced a short film with the Latino community called “Dreamers.” Andres believes that the power of storytelling and representation allow us to come together to create positive change.
