My name is Josefina Flandes I am originally from Mexico City D.F. I am married to Gregorio Montejo, Engineer with a degree in Agriculture, I have four children, plus my husband there are 5 in total. They are all graduates, and two are at the University of Minnesota I can proudly say they belong to the National Honor Society.

I am a graduate of the Universidad Veracruzana with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with courses in Leadership, Human Relations, Taxes, Statistics and Budgets.

I came to the United States more than 20 years ago, I have been a community volunteer for more than 17 years, I have worked as a volunteer & nbsp; in the educational system to increase the graduation rating of students of Latino origin, & nbsp; over 4 years I had a program at the Nobles County Library, & nbsp; I have also worked with & nbsp; & nbsp; Nobles County Integration & nbsp; Collaborative & nbsp; with junior high and high school youth programs in & nbsp; cultural, he & nbsp; participates in the Nobles County International Festival Committee, Also in the Even Start and Ged Start Programs, working with Latino families. At the YMCA, support and assist in fundraising programs for low-income children who can participate in sports.

In the United States I took my GED, I have courses in leadership, economics, Human Relations and many more that I already forgot.
My passion is to work closely with Latino families, and to be the means of connection so that they can have access to aid programs and organizations that allow them to get ahead and have a better life.

I feel proud and it is an honor for me to work with COPAL and above all to have the opportunity to continue helping my people.
