Leslee Gutiérrez

Leslee Gutiérrez Carrillo was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in Toronto, Canada and Puebla, Mexico, but returned to Minnesota to complete her degree in environmental studies. As forced migration due to climate change continues to be a lived reality for frontline communities across Latin America and continues harming generations of families through the intersectional traumas of forced removal, she feels a responsibility to her community. Leslee is hoping to pursue a degree in environmental law to continue doing this work in her community.
