Lourdes Menjívar

My name is Lourdes Menjívar happily married to Emilio Menjívar for 19 years. With my two sons Kenneth and David, struggling every day to make a difference in the place where God has positioned us. I arrived in the United States in 2004, with many expectations but also with many dreams in secret. In North Mankato the city in which I have lived for 16 years, we had our new beginning without any recourse but with the immense desire to “Advance in the crowd”, our rhema.

My husband and I, Pastors and founders of le Sueur’s Lamb of God Church serving the Hispanic community for twelve years. PUSH Founders – United Hispanic Services Project in Southern Minnesota with the Latino Back to School Program. Joining forces and working with our Hispanic seniors as a Community Outreach Worker at VINE Faith and Action for the Mankato, St Peter and Le Sueur area. And today I have the opportunity to work on the COPAL team with more to give and much to learn, but with every willingness to continue providing the resources to my community.

I consider myself a channel of blessing and agent of change for my community but at the same time motivation for new families to reach and live the longed-for “American Dream”.
