Luis Perez

Luis Perez has been an accounting professional for 34 years, specializing in non-profit accounting for the last 22. This included 12 years at a regional CPA firm, acting as an outsourced Controller and Auditor for non-profit organizations ranging in revenue from $500,000 to $8 million. Prior experience also includes Financial Controller for 3 for-profit private companies, one in a dual role as Director of Operations.    

Luis has significant GAAP and internal control knowledge as well as strong systems and software expertise as an implementer, user, and trainer on packages such as Sage, QuickBooks, FundEZ and Intacct web-based accounting software.  

A native of New York, Luis moved to Minnesota in 1983 with his wife, a Minnesota native, and earned his associate’s degree in Accounting from the Minnesota School of Business. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Metropolitan State University while also working as a full-time accountant.
