Except as otherwise provided in this policy, this policy applies to COPAL, a Minnesota nonprofit corporation and an organization described in Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code (the “Code”), Comunidades Organizando El Poder y La Accion Latina COPAL Education Fund, a Minnesota nonprofit corporation and an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Code, and each of their affiliates (collectively described in this policy as “we” or “us”).
When you engage with us, by signing up for a newsletter, registering for an event, becoming a member, or donating, we may collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
If you make a donation, your payment is processed securely by trusted third-party provider. COPAL MN does not store or have access to your credit card details. We only receive the information necessary to acknowledge your gift, such as your name, contact information, and the donation amount.

Donors to our 501(c)(3) affiliate may be disclosed to the IRS but will not be listed in public tax filings. Donors to a PAC may be disclosed publicly. Donor records are retained as required by law for financial and compliance purposes, but sensitive payment information is handled only by our third-party processors and is never stored by COPAL.
