Minneapolis, MN — Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina (COPAL) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its nonpartisan MN Latino Vote 2025 campaign, which aimed to strengthen civic engagement in Latine communities across Minnesota ahead of the November 4 local elections.
Throughout the campaign, COPAL connected with thousands of Minnesotans, helping them access voter information, registration resources, and support to make a voting plan.
Highlights of the campaign’s include:
- Digital Outreach: Over 149,431 views through social media posts, emails, and online resources.
- Phone Banking: Volunteers made nearly 1,200 calls, sharing information about the upcoming election with community members.
- Text messaging: Nearly 40,000 text messages were sent to provide reminders and guidance on registration, polling locations, and election deadlines.
“Local elections shape the affordability of our neighborhoods, the quality of our parks and schools, and opportunities for families to live a dignified life. Our communities must continue to raise our voices in local decisions,” said Ryan Perez, Organizing Director at COPAL.
COPAL’s MN Latino Vote campaign emphasized that everyone has a role in strengthening democracy. Even those who cannot vote can make an impact by supporting friends and family in registering, volunteering with community organizations, and spreading accurate election information.
