ABOUT THE EVENT

Sun Day is a nationwide celebration on September 21, 2025. Clean energy is the only way to ensure a healthy planet for everyone. Fossil fuel billionaires are doing everything they can to shut it down. But solar energy is now the cheapest source of power on the planet—and gives us a chance to actually do something about the climate crisis.

Learn more about Sun Day here. The River Hub at Graco Park is Minneapolis’ newest park. It’s on the Mississippi River in NE, with parking across the street, bus lines, bike and walking paths, a stage with am amphitheater, picnic tables, seating areas, and hundreds of native plants. An ideal location for a Sun Day festival, the net-zero building boasts a solar array and geothermal.

The Twin Cities Sun Day Festival is hosted by COPAL (Communities Organizing Latine Power and Action), the MN Northstar Chapter of the Sierra Club, MNIPL (Minnesota Interfaith Power and LIght), and Third Act Minnesota.
