Network Facilitator (Contract Position)
Immigrant Defense Network (IDN)
The Immigrant Defense Network (IDN) — a coalition of more than 90 immigrant justice and allied organizations — is seeking a Network Facilitator to drive strategy, strengthen coalition infrastructure, and support organizing, communications, policy, and fundraising efforts.
We are looking for a systems thinker and skilled manager who can turn vision into action. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable managing contracts, coordinating with funders, recruiting and supporting contractors, and advancing policy advocacy. They will bring a deep commitment to immigrant justice, racial equity, and collective power-building.
Key Responsibilities
- Coalition Strategy & Leadership
- Partner with the Executive Team to guide IDN’s strategic direction.
- Foster collaboration and accountability across committees, members, and partners.
- Contract & Project Management
- Recruit, manage, and support contractors for organizing, communications, and related projects.
- Ensure contracts and deliverables align with coalition goals.
- Policy & Advocacy
- Track and analyze federal and state policy developments impacting immigrant communities.
- Help shape and advance IDN’s advocacy priorities.
- Communications & Campaigns
- Oversee coalition-wide communications, messaging, and campaign coordination.
- Resource Development
- Collaborate with COPAL’s Development Department to pursue funding opportunities and sustain coalition efforts.
- Recruit and supervise volunteers.
- Crisis Management
- Build and participate in a crisis management system for availability during emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in coalition management, campaign coordination, or network development.
- Demonstrated policy analysis and advocacy experience (immigrant justice experience strongly preferred).
- Strong facilitation, communications, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive collaborative decision-making.
- English fluency strongly preferred; proficiency in an additional language is highly desirable.
Contract Details
- Duration: October 2025 – December 2026 (14 months).
- Compensation: Contract not to exceed $112,000.
- Location: Must reside in the Twin Cities metro area; hybrid work model with in-person presence at COPAL’s office and partner meetings as needed.
